About me

My name's Jouhe Forest and I'm a visual storyteller.

Since childhood, my eyes have been the camera of my soul,

drawn to life’s rawness and beauty in its most unfiltered form.
I have a poor memory for details, and I believe that’s why I was given this gift.

For years, moving from place to place felt like a reflection of my desire not to belong anywhere.

This constant search shaped both my art and my perspective.

I wanted to live, to feel, to experience, and to love—no matter the cost.

I wasn’t hiding from something, I was searching for meaning.

At the core of my artistic pursuit lies a profound aspiration to encapsulate life through a lens of clarity.

It's about seizing those ephemeral moments that punctuate our existence.

Focusing on documenting the tapestry of life around me.

In many ways, my approach mirrors that of photojournalism, guided by the unpredictable found in life itself.

It is said that photography remembers small details, long after we have forgotten everything.

My portfolio brings together all the stories I fail to put into words and those that are still unfinished.
